The president of the USA, Donald Trump, changed the direction of US policy on the environment by issuing several executive orders on energy and on the environment, including withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, revoking US financial commitments under the UNFCCC, eliminating goals and funding for electric vehicles, and promoting energy exploitation.
European Commission study to improve assessment of data centre energy efficiency

DG ENER of the European Commission commissioned a study to analyse methods for improving the assessment of the energy efficiency of data centres. On 11 February 2025, the Commission organised a workshop which introduced the study, its timeline and the outline of the planned activities.
