During an exchange of views with the EP IMCO committee, the Commission announced guidelines on age estimation methods (and the related risk review methodology) to further clarify the implementation of art.28 of the Digital Services Act. National laws can ban children from accessing social media if they do not set rules that contradict the DSA, the Commission says. The Commission will evaluate an EU-wide approach.
